After moving, Madelynn is soon confronted by talking butterflies and taken to a magical tree in which they live. She finds herself shrunk down to their size and Goad, a wise old oracle, explains to her that she is the lost princess of the Sadar butterfly colony. They have been looking for her for years and she must take her place and fight the evil Dreagans. Shocked by this information, Madelynn heads back and finds men at the house yelling at her parents, demanding to know where she is. Soon she is spotted, and Madelynn runs for her life, but the hateful men have taken her parents back to the magical realm. Madelynn’s decision is made for her.
